Regrade Policy: First Midterm Economics 100B, Fall 2005 Professor Charles I. Jones ========================================= If you have a question about how your exam was graded, please TYPE the specific question out fully on a sheet of paper and hand that paper, together with your complete exam, to PROFESSOR JONES by the end of class on TUESDAY, OCTOBER 18. You should explain exactly what you believe was misgraded. Regrades will not be possible after 5:15pm on October 18. You may of course turn the regrade request in to Prof. Jones earlier than that by seeing him in his office hours or after a previous class. Please note that the midterms will be graded by your GSI. The final exam, however, will be graded by all of the GSIs together (each grading one question on all 370 exams). We will use the scores on the final exams to normalize the grades on the midterm so that no student will be inappropriately penalized by having an especially harsh grader for a GSI. Similar, no student will be advantaged by having an especially easy grader as a GSI. The problem set grades will also be normalized in this way. This means that it is NOT possible to offer regrades if your reason is "My friend in another section wrote essentially the same answer and received a different grade on this question." This will be taken into account by the normalization at the end of the semester. In the past, very few grades have been changed. However, we will gladly correct mistakes on our part. We reserve the right to regrade all of your exam, so your grade may go up or down.
