We prefer that ELSA entries contain actual source code, although compiled programs are also welcome. If compiled programs are submitted, please provide information on the operating system, compiler, and version used. This information can be provided in a standard ASCII text file called ``compiler.doc''.
It is highly recommended that source code be amply annotated, especially if problems may arise due to differences in operating systems. Use of remarks in code is simply good programming practice. In addition, if the code is well-documented, users are much less likely to try to contact the author with trivial, and/or often time-consuming, questions.
