Test Problem (test.???)

The test problem provides users with a way to check whether the software has been installed properly. It also gives users an introduction to the use of the software. Whenever possible, the problem should not require significant computing resources. It should execute quickly and use a small dataset.

The test problem instructions should be written in a standard ASCII text file called ``test.txt''. Program instructions, if any, appear in the file ``test.cmd'', where ``cmd'' should be replaced with the extension appropriate to the application. Data appears in the ASCII data file ``test.dat'', or the extension appropriate to the formatted data file (such as a SAS or TSP dataset). If multiple program or data files are provided, they should be numbered, as in ``test01.cmd'', ``test02.cmd''. Alternatively, descriptive names are given to the files and all files can be placed in a subdirectory called ``test''.
