Example Archive Entry
We provide here an example of a submission to ELSA.
The file "elsa.entry.zip" was emailed to elsa@econ.berkeley.edu.
It was created on a PC running Matlab under Windows for Workgroups.
When unzipped, the inflated archive looked like:
-rw-rw-r-- 1 web 3837 Aug 17 09:24 CG.out -rw-rw-r-- 1 web 6336 Jul 31 10:57 Christensen.dat -rw-rw-r-- 1 web 6543 Aug 17 09:17 Estimation.m -rw-r--r-- 1 web 2202 Aug 17 10:29 abstract.txt -rw-rw-r-- 1 web 1873 Aug 17 09:11 active.m -rw-rw-r-- 1 web 3636 Jul 31 12:30 avgcost.m -rw-r-xr-x 1 web 87152 Aug 17 17:44 elsa.entry.zip* -rw-rw-r-- 1 web 521 Jul 31 10:48 feq.m -rw-rw-r-- 1 web 527 Jul 31 10:48 fle.m -rw-rw-r-- 1 web 517 Jul 31 10:48 flt.m -rw-rw-r-- 1 web 2591 Jul 31 14:57 install.txt -rw-rw-r-- 1 web 1553 Jul 31 11:00 intpolfactor_p.m -rw-rw-r-- 1 web 744 Jul 31 10:56 load_Christensen.m -rw-rw-r-- 1 web 4376 Aug 17 09:01 project.m -rw-rw-r-- 1 web 8011 Aug 17 09:22 results_cg.mat -rw-r--r-- 1 web 204594 Aug 17 10:27 tokyo1.ps
The files ending with the ".m" extension are Matlab files. The file ending in ".dat" is an ascii dataset. The ".out" file is an ascii log of the results of the estimation procedure. The author provides an abstract in ascii text, "abstract.txt", an installation file, "install.txt", and a technical paper in postscript (which we later compressed), "tokyo1.ps".
The files are browsable here as well as downloadable from our anonymous FTP location. (Only one of the Matlab files is listed below, since they are all ascii files and only the specific program code differs.)
