The Department of Economics offers a major in economics that begins
with intermediate theory courses in the two broad areas of microeconomics and macroeconomics.
These areas are introduced in either of the lower division courses, Economics 1 or Economics 2.
Students who major in economics have the opportunity to take a range of courses to expose themselves
to various kinds of economic analysis.
