Admissions
New admissions to the graduate program are restricted to students pursuing the Ph.D. degree. There is no external, terminal program for the M.A. degree; only students enrolled at Boalt School of Law or in other doctoral programs at Berkeley may enroll for an M.A. degree in economics if approval is given by both departments.
The on-line application is available each application cycle beginning on the second Monday of September (September 11th for the next cycle) from the Graduate Division Home Page.
