Alexandre Mas

Short Biography and Research Interests

Alexandre Mas was educated at Princeton University, where he received his PhD in 2004, the same year he joined the Berkeley faculty. He holds professorships in both the economics department and the school of business, where he serves on the Economic Analysis & Policy Group. Professor Mas is also an NBER faculty research fellow. He is currently a visiting research economist at Princeton University in the Industrial Relations Section.

Professor Mas's honors include a Schwabacher Fellowship, the Labor and Employment Research Fund award, the Fisher Center for Real Estate and Urban Economics award, and a "Club 6" award for teaching recognition, all of which recognize his work at Berkeley.
